Amanda Stoker has been named as the new child safety and domestic violence minister in Queensland, taking over from Amanda Camm. Camm resigned from the frontbench due to health concerns. Stoker, a right-wing backbencher, was officially sworn in amid reports of a cut-throat performance measure for the new minister. The appointment comes as Queensland faces challenges in addressing child safety and domestic violence issues.
