George Clooney broke his silence on the death of Presley Gerber, 27, the son of his longtime friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. Clooney described the death "the worst thing that could ever happen," calling it devastating for the family.

Around the same time, Clooney and his wife Amal attended the Albies ceremony. The couple kept attention on the honorees rather than themselves during the night. Those in attendance said the two stayed out of the spotlight as the evening's honorees received recognition.
