Newt Gingrich commented on the recent midterm election as positive for the United States. He cautioned that Democrats risk failure in 2028 if they adhere to a hard-left agenda without collaborating with President Trump. He emphasized that party unity and practical strategies will matter more than speculative narratives. Gingrich also claimed that the 2028 Republican presidential contest may not be as broad as many predict, diminishing the impact of the midterm losses on the GOP field. The race’s openness will depend on deadlines for candidate filings and voter turnout, he said.
